Michael is an Edmonton-based performer, writer, and graduate of the University of Alberta’s BFA Acting program. They can often be found creating and indulging in music and theatre projects both independently and with frequent collaborator, Jacquelin Walters. Laughing, giggling, and guffawing are major priorities in Michael’s artistic practice — preferably one finds a combination of all three! Performance credits include: Countries Shaped Like Stars (Fringe Theatre Mainstage); The 39 Steps (Teatro Live!); Bea (Shadow Theatre — Sterling Nomination); Cadaver Synod (Vault Theatre); Cyrano de Bergerac (Collider Festival); FEED (Mile Zero Dance); Pansies (WWPT, Springboards); and Let’s Not Turn On Each Other (Walters & Watt). As a playwright, Michael has worked with local companies including Nextfest Arts Company, Theatre Network, Common Ground Arts, Workshop West Playwrights Theatre, and Fringe Theatre Adventures. Outside of writing and performing they work as the Program Assistant for the Alberta Youth Theatre Collective.
